Downloading Bank Statements for your Mortgage
Obtaining your bank statements is an essential part of the mortgage application process. However, we also understand that finding and downloading your statements can sometimes be confusing and time-consuming. That’s why we’ve created this guide to help you navigate through the process with ease. Below, you’ll find simple instructions for downloading your bank statements from some of the most popular banks. We hope that this guide will save you time and effort, and make the process of obtaining your bank statements stress-free.
HSBC
- Log in to your HSBC online banking account.
- In the quick links menu, select ‘statements’ or alternatively, hover over ‘account services’ at the top of the page, and under documents, click on ‘statements.’
- Select the account you would like to view a statement for, and then choose the statement type.
- Once you have selected the statement type, click on the three dots in the top right and select ‘download’ to download your statement in PDF format.
Nationwide
- Log in to your Nationwide online banking account.
- Choose the ‘View Accounts’ tab.
- Select your current account from the accounts list.
- You will automatically be shown your full statement.
NatWest
- Log in to your Natwest online banking account.
- Select ‘Statements’ from the main menu and then select ‘view, save and print PDF statements and certificates of interest (up to 7 years)’ from the ‘Your Accounts’ section.
- Choose the account you want the statement for, and then click ‘Next.’
- From the list of available statements, select the one you need to print and then click ‘View Statement.’
- If you want an electronic copy, select ‘Download Statement (PDF)’ at the start of the page.
RBS
- Log in to your RBS ‘Digital Banking’ account.
- Select ‘Statements’ from the main menu and then select ‘View, save and print PDF statements and certificates of interest (up to 7 years)’ from the ‘Your Accounts’ section.
- Choose the account you want the statement for, and then click ‘Next.’
- From the list of available statements, select the one you need to print and then click ‘View Statement.’
- If you want an electronic copy, select ‘Download Statement (PDF)’ at the start of the page.
Santander
To view your statements online:
- Log in to your Santander online banking account.
- Click the ‘Statements & Documents’ link from the navigation menu.
- Identify the statement you wish to view.
- Under the ‘Action’ column, select either ‘view in PDF/Text Format’ or ‘Download.’
- Click ‘Go’, and your statement will open in a separate window.
To print your statement:
- Click the printer icon at the top right of the page.
- Select ‘Print.’
- You can ‘Print to PDF’ to download a PDF copy of your statement.
